Federal Marriage Amendment
I do support the right of every American to marry, including gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender couples. I believe that marriage and other civil rights protections are essential to making all families safer and more secure. -- Million for Marriage
I am writing today as your constituent to voice my opposition to the discriminatory Federal Marriage Amendment (FMA).This amendment would forever write discrimination into the United States Constitution. The Constitution was written to protect and ensure equality for ALL Americans. This amendment would destroy that equality by rewriting the Constitution to treat same-sex couples differently than other Americans.
Please vote against the FMA and defend the principles of freedom and equality in our Constitution. -- Vote No on the Federal Marriage Amendment
I gather they mean the Marriage Protection Amendment or H.J. res 39 or S.J. Res. 13.r
