This saddens me..and I hope it isn't true
BACVR's research gives us the real answer, disheartening as it may be. The great political divide in America today is not red vs. blue, north vs. south, costal vs. interior, or even rich vs. poor – it is now clearly black vs. white. [word doc link]
I'd love to see the raw numbers of their research. For years I have believed that poor white and black voters could find common ground. I've always felt the fight was between the "have" and the "have-nots." That the 'haves" used the race card to keep the poor from banding together.
