Can you still look her in the eye?

No problem.

Wow, it took less time than I expected for that comment. It kind of rings false though when it is made from someone in Australia.

What an angel! Hope she lives in a better world than we have now..

As one of the now sixty million plus who voted for our great president, I can look this sweet little girl in the eye and say to her what I have told my own little girl. "Your future is safe, God bless the USA and President Bush." Nothing nuanced about that. Kerryism is defeated.

Thanks for the reasoned comments. But I must say I have less belief that she will grow up in a safer world now.

As for "Kerryism": I have no idea what that really is. I do know that the unneeded war has sacrificed many lives and its cost is taking her future down the tubes.

Greg - it's just a sad commentary that you appear to actually believe what you say. Since you are a parent (so you say) you ought to know that power over someone doesn't make it prudent to enforce your will any time you want. Even with that power, it is better to convince others to see the wisdom of your perspective, especially children. (Yes, when they're little you have to enforce rules. But, once they're into adolesence it rarely works so cut and dry.) If you force them to your will, you ultimately lose their trust and any influence you have.

Of course, our current President can't convince the rest of the world of the wisdom of his actions, since they lack wisdom.

At least he can only harm our future actively for four more years.

"Kerryism" ?

Temple of Me

Welcome. All web sites are temples to their creators. Temple of Me will reflect what interests me, Domoni. I am a husband, father (twice), American, and liberal. I live in a "Red state" in the South. I am nearsighted, ambidextrous and over 30. Actually, I'm 153.33% of thirty.
