Yet Another Baseball Entry
In response to some homer:
The Montreal Expos franchise outdrew the Milwaukee Brewers franchise from 1969 until 1998. At that point the Expos franchise had outdrew the Brewers by 1,107,756 fans.
Then the Expos franchise was garrotted by a group of idiots. Even then they hung on one more season leading the Brewers in fans-to-date.
Then the team was taken over by a $%^$^%. Only then did the Brewers crawl by the Expos in attendance. And the Brewers were helped with the opening of a new park in 2001.
It just goes to show -- if your owner is commiss of baseball you don't worry about your team moving. It won't matter if the "the fans won't support the team."
And while I'm on the subject of the Brewers...both teams won 67 games this year. The Expos can rightfully claim they were a team abandoned, on the road way too much, and with only the barest of infrastructure allowed by their "owners."
What was the Brewers excuse for their third straight last place finish?
