World66
I discovered a website for travelers today. (Of course, I don't mean I am the first to find it. Obviously, I mean that just today I...the hell with it.)
World66 is a travel wiki. You can join and add your own information on any destination worldwide. The kicker is anyone can come behind you and edit or replace your information.
For example, on the general United States page was this paragraph about Kentucky:
Kentucky is ideal for adventurers who wish to explore its weath of salvage yards and can expect to receive a homely greeting from the locals, who are reknown for their extensive, part-of-the-family inclusion.
Oh, come on. So, I removed that paragraph and added this one:
Kentucky is a hidden gem for travelers interested in exploring natural artifacts; such as Mammoth Cave, one the largest cave systems in North America. The states' numerous campgrounds, state parks, and recreational lakes draw cost-conscious travelers from all over the South. The rolling hills of Eastern Kentucky sport some of the finest horse parks in the United States. The Kentucky Derby Festival includes a huge balloon race, air show, and spectacular fireworks performance as just three of its features. For some the race is just an afterthought.
I don't doubt it will be edited by someone else. The problems with this wiki is that the author is not listed. I want to know who wrote that silly paragraph so I can remember their bias in future reviews.
