Sex Can Wait

By way of The Accordion Guy I found this image at ejovi.net. It looks as though someone in Missouri snapped that picture. That state and at least Indiana and Arizona went with the "Sex Can Wait" abstinence program: "The curriculum is a five-week program designed to promote sexual abstinence. ..... The program is divided into three units: ..... and Planning My Future (which includes goal setting and life planning)." Obviously, the billboard was part of that unit.

"Sex Can Wait" and other abstinence-only programs are mentioned in the paper: School-based Programs to Reduce Sexual Risk-taking Behavior which concludes that the studies of such programs (by 1997) were flawed:

"Given those limitations, there is too little evidence to determine whether or not different types of abstinence programs can delay the onset of intercourse."

The question is: why delay the onset of intercourse? Does it really inprove our lives or does it help keep us a repressed society of drones who value employment over simple hedonism?

Temple of Me

Welcome. All web sites are temples to their creators. Temple of Me will reflect what interests me, Domoni. I am a husband, father (twice), American, and liberal. I live in a "Red state" in the South. I am nearsighted, ambidextrous and over 30. Actually, I'm 153.33% of thirty.
