Presenting
"I am horrible at presenting in front of more than a 1000 people."
You don't present to 1000 people. You present to those with the good sense to sit close to you. Those are the ones you truly see as you speak.
You get energy from those who are nodding along with your important points. The rest of the audience is background. They get the occasional "I'm scanning the crowd" look, but not the eye-to-eye contact you give the front few.
Those in front influence those behind and, like a wave, your words wash over your audience.
